Add Watermark to PDF

Stamp “Confidential”, “Draft”, your name or your logo across a PDF. Your file never leaves your device.

What this does

This tool adds a watermark to every page of a PDF, or just the pages you choose. Use text like “Confidential” or “Draft”, or an image such as your logo, and adjust the position, size, angle and transparency while watching the preview. Your original text and images aren't changed, so the PDF stays searchable. Everything happens in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF or drop it onto the box.
  2. Type your text or pick an image, then adjust the look in the preview.
  3. Press Add watermark and download the new PDF.

FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The watermark is added by your own browser, on your device, and the file is never sent anywhere.

Can I use my logo as a watermark?

Yes. Choose Image and pick a PNG or JPG. A PNG with a transparent background looks best.

Can the watermark be removed later?

Yes, with our Remove watermark tool. The watermark is marked as a watermark inside the PDF, the same way Adobe Acrobat does it, so it can be taken off cleanly. It still can't be removed by simply copying or editing the page.
