Word to PDF

Turn a Word document into a PDF with sharp, selectable text. Your file never leaves your device.

What this does

This tool converts Word documents (.docx) to PDF right in your browser. It lays out your document with its fonts, tables, images, headers and page breaks, shows you a preview, and then uses your browser's built-in Save as PDF, so the text stays sharp and selectable. Your document is never uploaded, which makes it safe for contracts, CVs and other private files.

How to use it

  1. Choose a .docx file or drop it onto the box.
  2. Check the preview, then press Save as PDF.
  3. In the print window, pick Save as PDF as the printer and press Save.

FAQ

Is my document uploaded?

No. Your document is laid out and saved as a PDF by your own browser. It never leaves your device.

Why does a print window open?

Your browser's built-in Save as PDF gives the best result: sharp, selectable text without uploading anything. Choose Save as PDF as the printer, then press Save.

Will it look exactly like in Word?

Ordinary documents come out very close. Complex layouts, text boxes and fonts that aren't installed on your device can shift slightly, so check the preview first. Old .doc files need to be saved as .docx first.
