This tool removes both kinds of lock and saves a normal PDF that opens and prints anywhere. How to use it
- Choose a PDF or drag it onto the box.
- If it needs a password to open, type it and press Unlock PDF.
- Press Download unlocked PDF to save the new copy. Your original file isn't changed.

Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is unlocked by your own browser, on your device. It is never sent to our server or anyone else.
Can it unlock a PDF if I don't know the password?
If the PDF opens but won't let you print, copy or edit, yes: those restrictions are removed without a password. If the PDF asks for a password just to open it, you need to know that password. This tool does not guess or crack passwords.
Will the unlocked PDF look the same?
Yes. Only the encryption is removed. Text, images, links, forms and quality stay exactly as they were.
Is it legal to remove a PDF password?
Only unlock PDFs that you own or have permission to change, such as your own bank statements or documents someone shared with you along with the password.
