PDF to Word

Turn a PDF into a Word document you can edit, or an exact copy of its pages. Your file never leaves your device.

What this does

This tool converts a PDF into a Word document (.docx) that opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Pages and LibreOffice. With Editable text it rebuilds the text as normal paragraphs, keeping headings, bold, italic and right-to-left languages. With Exact look every page is copied as a full-page picture, perfect for forms and designs you just need inside Word. It all runs in your browser, so private documents stay on your device.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF or drop it onto the box.
  2. Pick Editable text or Exact look.
  3. Press Convert to Word and download the .docx file.

FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The Word file is created by your own browser, on your device. Your PDF is never sent anywhere.

Which option should I choose?

Choose Editable text when you want to change the words: paragraphs, headings, bold and italic are kept, but columns, tables and images are not. Choose Exact look when the document must look identical; each page becomes a picture that you can't edit.

Why is my converted document empty?

Scanned PDFs are photos of pages and contain no real text. Use Exact look for those, or a text-recognition (OCR) app to get editable text.
