What this does
This converter turns JSON into XML and XML into JSON. In the XML-to-JSON direction, attributes become keys starting with @, element text becomes the value (or a #text key when the element also has attributes or children), and repeated elements become arrays. JSON to XML follows the same rules in reverse, so a round trip gives you back the same data. Everything runs in your browser.
How to use it
- Choose the direction: JSON → XML or XML → JSON.
- Paste your data, open a file or drop one onto the box.
- Copy or download the result. Press ⇄ to convert it back.
FAQ
How are XML attributes shown in JSON?
As keys that start with @, for example "@id": "5". Element text sits in "#text" when the element also has attributes or child elements.
What happens to a JSON array?
Each item becomes a repeated XML element with the same name, which is the usual way XML represents lists.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser.
