What this does
This converter turns CSV files from Excel, Google Sheets or databases into JSON, and JSON back into CSV. It detects whether values are separated by commas, semicolons, tabs or pipes, handles quoted fields that contain separators, quotes or line breaks, and can use the first row as field names. Downloaded CSV opens correctly in Excel, including accented letters.
How to use it
- Choose CSV → JSON or JSON → CSV.
- Paste the data, open a file or drop one onto the box. Adjust the separator if needed.
- Copy or download the result.
FAQ
My CSV uses semicolons. Will it work?
Yes. Leave the separator on Detect and it picks commas, semicolons, tabs or pipes automatically, or choose one yourself.
What JSON can be turned into CSV?
A list of objects works best: each object becomes a row and the keys become columns. Nested objects and lists are written into the cell as JSON text.
Is my spreadsheet uploaded?
No. The conversion happens in your browser and nothing is stored.
